Every calculator here does its math with JavaScript running on your device. Punch in a balance, an age, a contribution percentage, or a target retirement year, and that figure gets used once, on the spot, to draw the result you see, then it sits in the page's memory until you close the tab or reload. RetirementCalc has no account system, no save button, and no backend that a calculator field would even talk to, so there is no pipe for that number to travel through to reach us. What you type is genuinely private in the plainest sense: it never leaves the device you typed it on.
Visiting any page here generates the same log data most of the web generates: the page requested, a rough location inferred from your IP address, your browser and device category, and whatever site sent you our way. None of that touches the calculator fields. It tells us which tools get real use and flags pages that are broken or loading slowly, nothing more specific than that.
Two things set cookies here: Google Analytics, which rolls up traffic into aggregate counts (this many people opened the RMD calculator this week) without singling anyone out, and Google AdSense, which can use cross-site browsing data to pick which ad you see. Both are optional in practice. Decline them through the banner or your browser settings and every calculator still runs the identical math, since none of them read a cookie to produce a result.
The contact form routes through a third-party processor, Web3Forms. Whatever you send, your name, your email, your message, exists only so we can reply to you. It does not get added to a list, sold, or handed to anyone else.
A handful of outbound links, including some through the Amazon Associates program, pay us a commission if you click through and buy something, at no added cost on your end. The site you land on after clicking runs under its own privacy policy from that point forward, not ours. For how AdSense itself handles cross-site data, Google publishes its own advertising policy.
RetirementCalc is aimed at adults working through their own retirement numbers, and we do not knowingly gather information from anyone under 13.
